MORNING MANNA | No one can claim salvation absent of “ACTUAL” knowledge, relationship and experience with God. By: Arlou June D. Gomez

MORNING MANNA | No one can claim salvation absent of “ACTUAL” knowledge, relationship and experience with God.

2 Thessalonians 1:8 says, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:”

Those who:

1. KNOW not God; and

2. OBEY NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ

Shall be punished with everlasting destruction [verse 9]

Based on this passage, PASSIVE knowledge or relationship with God is of no moment. A person who convinced himself that he is saved without actual knowledge of the Bible (reading, understanding and applying), actual relationship with God, nor actual experience with God is just DECEIVING himself. You must have ACTUAL knowledge and GENUINE OBEDIENCE to his Words.

I look at the Vines Dictionary and I found a very interesting thing.

The word “know” comes from the Greek word “oida,” which suggests fullness of "knowledge," e.g., John 8:55 , "ye have not known Him" (ginosko), i.e., begun to "know," "but I know Him" (oida), i.e., "know Him perfectly.” As opposed to the other Greek word for “know” which is “ginosko”, which frequently suggests inception or progress in "knowledge,"

In this passage, it did not use the Greek word “ginosko,” but rather uses the Greek word “oida.” The latter is stonger and more demanding than the former.

In order for us to be able to claim salvation, we must KNOW him FULLY and PERFECTLY which can only come through GENUINE and PERSONAL CONSTANT relationship.

This used of Greek word “oida,” debunks the so-called Christian mindset that “I am saved without going to Church,” “I can be saved without reading the Bible,” “I can be saved even if I am sinning,” “I can be save even if all I have is just a passive relationship with Christ,” “I can be saved by just accepting Jesus Christ as my personal God and savior.”

WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

Again, you must possess that “OIDA” knowledge.

And this knowledge can only come through the HOLY GHOST that you received.

1 Corinthians 12:3 KJV

[3] Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Item no. 2 is self-explanatory.

HAVE A BLESSED DAY.
